2012 Grammy Jewelry

Last year Grammy jewelry was all about HUGE earrings... what about this year?  To sum it up, it seemed like diamonds were a girls best friend!  Katy Perry went for an feminine, but slightly tongue-in-cheek blue ensemble with classically elegant diamond earrings and tennis bracelet that contrasted nicely with her edgy blue updo:

Carrie Underwood, whose make-up I thought looked amazing, had beautiful egg-shaped diamond drop earrings on:

Adele had the old-time movie star look down to a T, with her wavy newly-blonded hair, her trademark heavy eyeliner, red lipstick and big diamond earrings on the red carpet.

And it appeared she switched into an even BIGGER pair of diamond earrings for her exquisite comeback performance.  You can see them well in this picture next to Paul McCartney, who is looking a little worse for the wear, or maybe it's just a bad angle for him!:

Two stars who broke the mold by going BIG and GOLD were Alicia Keys with a positively HUGE gold breastplate necklace.  At the wrong angle, it looks like it could be dangerous!:
